What are some things that can keep me company on a plane

What are some things that can keep me company on a plane?
My brother, mom, and I are going to Niagara Falls Sunday. I live in North Carolina, and the flight stops in Detroit, and then from there we take another flight to Buffalo, NY. Let's say each flight is about 1 hour. What are some things to keep me company? Can I bring my iPod on the plane? I can't read while I'm in motion, so reading's out of the question. Thank you!

Sometimes you can see movies on a flight if they offer. They do have headphones so you can listen to airline provided music. Also alot of people are friendly so make a new friend :)

Bring your iPod! Sky Mall magazine is always fun to look at too. Just look at the pictures, no need to read. I'm the same way lol.

im the same way! you CAN bring your ipod but you can only use it when you reach cruising altitude. ( the pilot will tell you when) and you can bring a game boy, or maybe a portable board game ( magnetic is best) or you could draw to occupy you. my favorite plane activity is eating stuff like crackers and candy bars, lol.

Yes... you can bring an iPod... there are times when the flight attendant will tell everyone to turn off any devices though usually near the beginning and end of the flight. I would try to find an audio book or download a podcast of your favorite radio program. If you don't listen to the radio... just google some topic and the word "podcast"... you will find stuff that you can put on your iPod typically for free. That way you will have something interesting to listen to rather than a beat. Another thing you could do is some sort of art... like maybe draw something everytime in a notebook. Or write a letter to a relative or friend that would appreciate that kind of old school communication... You will make them feel good and so will you... You could even be cheesy and buy some cheap postcards and mail them from the different airports. Hope those were helpful ideas... have a good flight. P.S. I like to talk to new people if they are in the mood. You find out interesting things about this world, what other people do for a living, and can even pick up great advice that you could use later in life. :)

Definitely bring your iPod. You could also bring cards and play with your brother. They probably won't offer you a movie since each flight is only an hour. Maybe you could take a nap or look out the window. Sometimes if you are flying low or there aren't any clouds, you can see some really pretty sights. You should be fine because the flights are only an hour so you won't get too bored. Have a good trip! :)

Gosh! An hour flight is really short! By the time they serve a drink, they are taking up your cup and napkin! Have you ever tried reading on a plane? It is different than reading in a car or on a train. That's what I do on the plane. Yes, you can take your iPod and do whatever folks do with an iPod on the plane. Maybe you can catch a short nap. Or just look out the window. Or talk to your Mom and brother. It is really a very short flight.
