What train service should I use to get from Buffalo to Petoskey?
I need to get from Buffalo, NY to Petoskey, MI on 16 June '07 and I need to know which train service to use. Or are there flights available?

I'm nice and did a search for you...no trains go that far north in Michigan. You could take a train to Grand Rapids, MI and probably get a bus from there to your destination. Go to amtrak.com and you can enter BUF for your departure station and GRR for arrival. The total trip would take about 15 hours by train and you'd have to change trains once in Chicago. The cost is only $99 though! Well you'd have to take it to somewhere else because Greyhound buses only go from some places to that city. But you might be able to make it work. Your best bet, though more expensive is to fly to nearby Pellston (airport code PLN) from BUF. Northwest airlines flies there and it'd cost about $450+. Or you could take the train to Chicago from Detroit which would take 5 hours by train to Toledo OH and then a 1 hour bus ride to Detroit. Then fly from Detroit with Northwest for $247. Either way looks like youre gonna either spend a lot of time and hassle or a lot of money. :(

Greyhound runs from Grand Rapids to Petoskey And if you are going to fly Traverse city may be cheaper to fly into
